A flawless manicure truly shines when the skin of your hands and cuticles is supple, luminous and deeply hydrated. Cold wind, temperature changes, frequent handwashing and sanitisers strip the skin's natural lipid barrier faster than ordinary hand lotion can restore it.
That is where the paraffin wax treatment comes in—a soothing 20-minute ritual you can add at the end of any manicure session.
How Cosmetic Paraffin Works on the Skin
Melted cosmetic paraffin at a gentle, comfortable temperature acts through a soothing occlusive and thermal mechanism:
- Creates a protective occlusive barrier — the warm paraffin layer prevents transepidermal water loss and intensifies hydration within the upper layers of the epidermis (stratum corneum).
- Boosts emollient absorption — before applying the paraffin, we massage a rich emollient lotion with lipids, vitamins and nourishing oils into the skin and cuticles to soften dry areas.
- Relaxes and restores skin suppleness — gentle warmth stimulates local microcirculation, and after 15–20 minutes inside thermal mittens, the paraffin is gently removed, leaving hands immediately velvety and elastic.
When to Add a Paraffin Treatment
You can request a paraffin treatment:
- right after a manicure hygiene session;
- at the end of your gel polish manicure or gel refill;
- whenever your hands feel dry, tight or prone to rough cuticles.
Simply mention that you would like to include the paraffin treatment when submitting your booking request so we reserve the extra 20 minutes for you.
